CapSolver Alternatives: What Changes When You Switch
CapSolver alternatives mapped by exact task names, proxy format, DataDome support and resale terms, from each provider's own docs read 29 October 2026.
The best CapSolver alternatives are the services that speak the same JSON task API: CapMonster Cloud, 2Captcha's API v2 and Anti-Captcha all take a clientKey and a task object, so a port is mechanical rather than a rewrite. Mechanical is not the same as painless, though. Task type names are spelled differently, proxies are passed differently, and DataDome is a different request at every provider. This page maps those differences line by line. We run CaptchaNo, which is one of the options, and we have already written up where we differ from CapSolver head to head; this post is about the whole field.
Every claim below comes from each provider's own documentation or terms, read on 29 October 2026. We quote no prices, because rates in this category change without notice, and we make no speed or accuracy claims about any other service, because we cannot run another company's account under controlled conditions.
Why people look for a CapSolver alternative
Most people leave for one of three reasons: the terms, a missing challenge type, or a workflow that does not fit CapSolver's result window. Price comes up too, but it is the easiest thing to compare and the least likely to be the real blocker.
- Terms. CapSolver's terms of service list "any form of reselling CapSolver services" and "any form of automatic ticket purchasing activities" among prohibited uses. The same page states that it does not offer refunds in any form. If you are building a product other people use, the resale line alone decides it.
- Coverage. CapSolver documents a broad set of types, including AWS WAF, GeeTest, MTCaptcha and DataDome. If you rely on one of the rarer ones, your shortlist shrinks fast, and some alternatives will not be one at all.
- Workflow. Long queues, slow proxies and batch jobs collide with the limits on CapSolver's result endpoint, covered below.

How we compared the alternatives
We applied the same four checks to every service, using only its public docs and terms. Disclosure: CaptchaNo is one of the services, and we say plainly where it is not the right replacement.
- API family. Does it use CapSolver's
createTask/getTaskResultpattern, or something of its own? - Exact task names for the three types most CapSolver users send: reCAPTCHA v2, Cloudflare Turnstile and DataDome.
- Proxy format, since that is where ports silently break.
- Terms on resale, where we could read them.
If you want a ranked shortlist rather than a migration map, our 2026 comparison of captcha solving services uses the same sourcing rules.
CapSolver alternatives at a glance: task names mapped
The table is the part no other page in this search result publishes: the exact type string each provider expects for the same job. Case matters. A ProxyLess where the other side expects Proxyless is an error, not a typo.
| Job | CapSolver | CapMonster Cloud | 2Captcha (API v2) | Anti-Captcha | CaptchaNo |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| reCAPTCHA v2, no proxy | ReCaptchaV2TaskProxyLess | RecaptchaV2Task | RecaptchaV2TaskProxyless | RecaptchaV2TaskProxyless | recaptcha_v2 |
| Cloudflare Turnstile | AntiTurnstileTaskProxyLess | TurnstileTask | TurnstileTaskProxyless | TurnstileTaskProxyless | turnstile |
| DataDome | DatadomeSliderTask | CustomTask + class: "DataDome" | DataDomeSliderTask | Not in its task list | datadome |
| Proxy format | Split fields or one concatenated string | Split fields | Split fields | Split fields | One URL string |
| Result call | getTaskResult | getTaskResult | getTaskResult | getTaskResult | Same request with ?wait=, or GET /v1/task/{id} |
Read from each provider's own documentation on 29 October 2026. "Split fields" means proxyType, proxyAddress, proxyPort, proxyLogin and proxyPassword.
What breaks when you leave CapSolver
Four CapSolver behaviours are easy to depend on without noticing. Check each one in your code before you swap the base URL.
The five-minute result window
CapSolver's getTaskResult reference allows 120 queries per task and only five minutes after creation; after either limit the result is lost. It recommends polling every three seconds. Other providers set their own limits, so re-tune any polling loop written around those numbers rather than copying it. On our side, a paid solution stays retrievable for ten minutes and we suggest polling every five seconds.

Synchronous answers you did not ask for
CapSolver returns some results straight from createTask: image recognition tasks such as ImageToTextTask come back with status: "ready" and a solution in the first response, with no task ID to poll. It also has a getToken route that returns a reCAPTCHA token in one call, documented for reCAPTCHA v2 and v3 types only. If your image code never calls getTaskResult, it will hang on a provider that always answers with a task ID first.
The concatenated proxy string
CapSolver accepts a proxy as one string, such as socks5:host:port:user:pass, as well as split fields. CapMonster, 2Captcha and Anti-Captcha document the split fields. We take a single URL like http://user:pass@host:port. A proxy that silently fails to parse is the worst kind of bug, because the solve may still succeed from a different IP and then the token is rejected at submission. That failure is covered in our guide to why valid tokens get rejected.
Solution field names
CapSolver puts a reCAPTCHA token in solution.gRecaptchaResponse, a Turnstile token in solution.token, and often returns a userAgent you should replay. Field names differ elsewhere, and so does the shape of DataDome results: CapMonster returns cookies nested under solution.domains, while 2Captcha returns a single solution.cookie string. Map these in one adapter function, not across your codebase.
The DataDome problem: four providers, four requests
If DataDome is why you use CapSolver, check this section first, because it is the least portable request in the category. Every provider that documents DataDome needs your own proxy and the user agent your scraper uses. The rest differs.

- CapSolver takes
captchaUrl,proxyand auserAgentfrom a short fixed list (Windows Chrome, Windows Firefox, Mac Chrome). It tells you to check that the URL'stparameter isfe, sincet=bvmeans the IP is banned. - CapMonster Cloud uses a generic
CustomTaskwithclass: "DataDome", and its DataDome docs also require the currentdatadomecookie insidemetadata, plus proxy login and password fields. IP-allowlisted proxies must allow its address. - 2Captcha uses
DataDomeSliderTask(note the capital D in "Dome") withcaptchaUrl,userAgentand split proxy fields, and gives the samet=fecheck. - Anti-Captcha does not list DataDome among its supported task types, so it is not a replacement for this job.
- CaptchaNo takes
url, challengeUrl,proxy(required) anduserAgent. The full flow, including the banned-IP check, is in our DataDome solver walkthrough in Python.
Each alternative, briefly
None of these is the best CapSolver alternative for everyone. The right one depends on which types you send and what you are building.
CapMonster Cloud
The closest in feel: AI-based, the same createTask family, and its docs are current (the DataDome page was updated on 27 October 2026). It also documents an MCP server for agent use. The catch for DataDome users is the different request shape. If you are also weighing compatibility modes for older clients, our review of which 2Captcha alternatives are drop-in goes through them provider by provider.
2Captcha (API v2)
The widest documented coverage of the group. Its v2 index lists dozens of types, including Amazon, GeeTest, Arkose Labs, MTCaptcha and DataDome. If you depend on a rare type, this is the first docs page to check. Its task names are closest to Anti-Captcha's, not CapSolver's.
Anti-Captcha
A JSON task API with reCAPTCHA v2/v3, Enterprise, Turnstile, GeeTest, FunCaptcha, Amazon and custom tasks. No DataDome. A good fit if your CapSolver traffic is mostly reCAPTCHA and Turnstile.

CaptchaNo
Not a createTask clone. One endpoint, POST /v1/solve, takes the same request shape for reCAPTCHA v2 and v3, Enterprise checkbox widgets, Turnstile, DataDome and image captchas. Add ?wait=60 and the same request returns the solution, so there is no polling loop to port. Failed solves are not billed, and resale is permitted through a documented reseller programme with a key per customer. Every field is in the API reference, and a feature-by-feature table is on our CaptchaNo vs CapSolver page.
If you use the CapSolver browser extension
Extensions are a different product. They solve inside your own browser profile rather than over an API. If that is how you use CapSolver, compare them on permissions and on who publishes them; our comparison of auto-solver extensions does that.
When CaptchaNo is not the right replacement
Be honest with your traffic first. We solve reCAPTCHA v2, reCAPTCHA v3, Enterprise checkbox-style widgets, Cloudflare Turnstile, DataDome and image captchas on our own solving infrastructure. We do not solve hCaptcha, score-based reCAPTCHA Enterprise keys, AWS WAF, GeeTest, MTCaptcha or FunCaptcha. If any of those is in your mix, keep a provider that documents it, or split traffic by type.
A safe way to switch
Run the new provider beside CapSolver before you cut over. This order catches most problems in an afternoon.
- List every task type you send, from your logs, not from memory.
- Put the provider behind one adapter: type mapping, proxy formatting and solution field names in one place.
- Send a small share of real traffic to the new provider, through the same proxy and user agent.
- Compare accepted submissions on the target site, not returned tokens. A token the site rejects is a failure, whatever the solver said.
- Move each type over only once its acceptance holds, and keep a fallback for any type the new provider does not document.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the closest CapSolver alternative?
CapMonster Cloud, 2Captcha's API v2 and Anti-Captcha all use the same createTask and getTaskResult pattern, so porting to any of them means renaming task types and reformatting proxy fields rather than redesigning your code. Which one is closest for you depends on the types you send: DataDome rules out Anti-Captcha, and rare types favour 2Captcha's wider list.
Can I keep my CapSolver code and just change the URL?
No. Even within the same API family, task type names are spelled differently, with ProxyLess at CapSolver and Proxyless elsewhere, and DataDome is a different request at each provider. CapSolver's concatenated proxy string is not accepted everywhere either. Expect a few hours of mapping per provider, and put that mapping in one adapter function so it is easy to change.
Which CapSolver alternatives support DataDome?
On 29 October 2026, CapMonster Cloud, 2Captcha and CaptchaNo documented DataDome, while Anti-Captcha did not list it among its task types. All three that support it require your own proxy and the user agent your scraper uses, because the resulting cookie is tied to the session that earned it. The request fields differ between them.
Can I resell CapSolver or build a product on it?
Not under its current terms, which list any form of reselling CapSolver services among prohibited activities. Several other providers restrict resale too, and terms change, so if customers will benefit from the solving capacity, read each provider's current terms before you integrate. Choose one that permits resale in writing, such as CaptchaNo's reseller programme.
Is there a free CapSolver alternative?
Not one that replaces the API at scale. Some services offer small trial credits or free daily allowances, usually through a browser extension, which suits manual use rather than scrapers. For a fair evaluation, put a little money on two providers and compare accepted submissions on your own targets over a day.
Map your types, then trial one alternative
Start from the table above, list the types you actually send, and rule out any provider that does not document all of them. If your traffic is reCAPTCHA, Turnstile, DataDome or image captchas, create a CaptchaNo account and run it beside CapSolver on a slice of real traffic before you switch anything.
